August 12, 2025 – Global Protests Erupt in Response to Israeli Actions in Gaza.
Massive demonstrations have broken out across the United States, Europe, and Africa in response to Israel’s military operation in Gaza and the recent deaths of six journalists from Al Jazeera (five from Al Jazeera were hit in an Israeli airstrike) from an airstrike by Israel on August 11th 2025. These protests reflect international outrage against what many are labeling Israeli war crimes and humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Protests in the US
Protesters gathered in front of major media outlets like NBC, Fox News, ITN and The Guardian to express their outrage at the murders of Al Jazeera journalists and Israeli regime’s atrocities against Palestinians as well as media professionals killed in Gaza. European Demonstrations Protests took place throughout Europe in cities like London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam, with London Police reporting over 466 arrests during a demonstration organized by Palestine Action which was banned by the UK government. Protesters marched through city centers chanting slogans and holding placards demanding an end to Israeli military operations in Gaza as well as recognition of Palestinian rights; activists called for an immediate ceasefire and provision of humanitarian aid without restrictions or delays to Gaza.

Protests were organized across Africa, including Tunisia, Morocco and South Africa. Citizens gathered outside Tunis’s Municipal Theatre to demand an immediate end to war and Israeli blockade of Gaza while Moroccan demonstrators condemned Israeli actions and demanded international intervention for Palestinian civilian protection. International Reactions The international community has expressed deep alarm over the situation in Gaza. The UN has reported over 100 deaths due to malnutrition since June 2025 and called for immediate humanitarian access and an end to Israel’s blockade.
